We went for a family Christmas lunch 7 adults and 3 children 5 years and under food was fantastic as were the staff nothing was too much trouble Thank you for a lovely afternoon

A lovely welcome, super friendly and efficient staff. Good, old-fashioned pub grub; I had liver, bacon, and mustard mash, all of which was delicious, and washed it down with some excellent, hand pulled Robinson's ales. We will be back!

Lovely welcome in this pub, the landlady went out of her way to help two hikers, we can’t thank her enough. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Stopped in for an early dinner and a pint. The staff were brilliant and friendly. Had a great pint of Robinsons Unicorn and ordered the Gammon, egg and chips. It also came with great onion rings, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms. Huge meal that was totally delicious. Everything was just right.

Came here with my mum and her friends on a weekend away, they enjoyed it so much on their first visit on the Thursday, they cancelled our other reservation so they could return on the Sunday with me in tow! Wonderfully generous portion sizes, super tasty food, and such lovely staff. Hopefully we can return in future!

Traditional country pub, food was very good and good portions. I had the beef in red wine sauce which was great. Service very friendly and not pushy. I will definitely be going back and would recommend this establishment ☺️

Amazing little pub close (ten minute walk) to the Macclesfield canal. We visited several times while we were in the area. Amazing food (with excellent gluten-free options and knowledge) and a really friendly team!

Came for a family meal. It’s was absolutely beautiful. Good home cooked food. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend. And come here again.

Could not fault our visit. We were greeted as we entered and made very welcome. Service was fantastic polite and attentive. Food was delicious. Soup starters followed by liver bacon onion gravy mash and veg 😋 😋 plaice mash and veg 😋😋 both meals spot on .. very good portions and value for money. If you want good food with great service and a very warm welcome this is the place👍 we will be going back.

A completely 'by chance' drop in , due to a missed turning of a diversion. No table booked, but made most welcome and the enjoyed a fine pub lunch.

Visiting as a family group of 7. From reaching out on Messenger to enquire about Father's Day and hetting a helpful and prompt reply, to the warm welcome at the bar, the very friendly waitress, huge and delicious portions, to the final farewell. Cannot fault this place! Hope to be back soon!
